Yamal, who celebrated his 17th birthday on the eve of the final, featured prominently in all seven of Spain's matches in Germany. He led the tournament with four assists and netted a historic goal in the semifinals against France, becoming the youngest scorer in Euro history. England's quest for a major men's international trophy continues, having last won the World Cup in 1966.
