'Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile' will be available on Netflix in select regions in February 2023.

Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile, a new film from Sony Pictures, will be released in theatres in October 2022 and will be available on Netflix in the United States and India in February 2023, with more to follow in the years to come. Shawn Mendes lends his vocal talents to the animated musical hybrid film, which also stars Javier Bardem, Constance Wu, Winslow Fegley, Scoot McNairy, and Brett Gelman. The film is set in New York City and follows a crocodile who, despite his inability to communicate, can sing. So far, reviews have been mostly positive, with the Washington Post stating that this "family film delivers enough pulse-quickening earworms and warmth to melt even the coldest of hearts."

Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile Offers Some Hilarious Scenes:

While the novelty of seeing a singing and dancing crocodile is fascinating and well-executed, the screen comes to life whenever the latter appears as the colourful, ambitious, down-on-his-luck magician vying for the national talent show. Unfortunately, Javier is conspicuously absent for a significant portion of the film. Apart from these two, Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile has little to offer. The bond between young Josh Primm (Winslow Fegley) and Lyle, the frightened parents warming up to him and making him a part of the family, an antagonist who gets Lyle thrown into the zoo, and how the family comes together to get him back are all part of the tried and true formula. Finding your place in the world, stepping outside of your comfort zone, rediscovering yourself, and overcoming all odds are not new concepts. But there are also amusing moments in the film, like a scene in which the unpleasant neighbour, Mr Grumps (Brett Gelman), has a Persian cat with the craziest scenes, and another in which the huge croc wrestles with Mr Primm (Scoot McNairy).
